Thanks to those who gathered in Harlem last month to get to know each other a little better. Whether it's hanging out in your hood, or checking out the latest art installation, here are a variety of great events to add to your calendar. Don't miss out!

FEATURED EVENT
The Club's annual fundraising event will take place in April and feature Florence Fabricant ’58, food and wine writer for The New York Times, as the keynote speaker. 
 
Tickets can be purchased online. Proceeds benefit the Smith Scholarship Fund and are dedicated to providing critical financial aid to students from the Greater New York area.

Exploring women’s friendships through Text Me When You Get Home: The evolution and triumph of modern female friendship by Kayleen Schaefer. This salon offers the opportunity for rousing conversation on friendship, a subject that Smith women know well. Come join even if you haven’t read the book.

Neighborhood Meet-Up: Midtown East
Do you live or work in Midtown East? Join the Smith College Club of NYC at a neighborhood meet-up. Whether you're new to the neighborhood or you've been there for years, this is your opportunity to connect with other Smithies in your neck of the woods. Event is open to Club members and non-members.

Cost: Free to Attend, but RSVP is strongly encouraged.

Live or work on the Lower East Side and want to meet more Smithies in your neighborhood? Come relax, play games, and bond with your local Smith family! This FREE meet-up is open to Smith Club members and non-members alike.

Location: Black Cat LES (172 Rivington Street)
Price: FREE to Attend, but RSVP is strongly encouraged.

Join the Smith Club to walk through Exhibitionism: 50 Years of The Museum at FIT, which brings back thirty-three of the most influential fashion exhibitions produced at the Fashion Institute of Technology. This is not a guided tour, but rather an opportunity for those with a common interest to gather and enjoy the exhibit together. The Club will meet in the lobby at 6:30 pm. Admission to is free. In honor of Smith's Annual Night at Your Museum event, Smithies around the world are encouraged to gather at their local museums and connect via social media. New York City area Smithies are invited to participate by meeting at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Seven Sisters NYC Art Run
Join the New York Wellesley Club and our Seven Sisters with a curated 5K art run to kick off Women's History Month. This fun and empowering run will feature works by women street artists and include stops for photos along the way. All paces are welcome! Photos of this run and art will also be shared with attendees. Bag drop and meet up location will be provided separately to attendees.

Farah Pandith: How We Win Book Launch
To celebrate the release of her new book, Farah Pandith '90 will speak next month at the 9/11 Museum and Memorial. In How We Win: How Cutting-Edge Entrepreneurs, Political Visionaries, Enlightened Business Leaders, and Social Media Mavens Can Defeat the Extremist Threat, Pandith draws upon her high-level experience on the National Security Council, at the State Department, and on the Homeland Security Advisory Council to explain how to stop the spread of extremism into local communities. Pandith also spoke on this topic when she delivered the keynote address at the Smith Club's 2018 Scholarship Benefit.
