Stay warm with a Broadway revival, a good book or a one-hit wonder

With temperatures still low, it's a good time to enjoy some indoor entertainment with the NYC Smith College Club.

Next week ushers in the Broadway revival of the award-winning The Heidi Chronicles by Wendy Wasserstein, from Producer Gabby London Palitz '80. Discounted tickets are available through April 20 for Smith Club members and their guests.

Or if you prefer a good book instead, join Smithies on Monday, Feb. 23 at 6:30 pm for our Book Group, where we will be discussing Edith Wharton's The Age of Innocence. For more details and the address, please contact Bookgroup@smithclubnyc.org.

Then on Wednesday, February 25 from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, it's time for our Young Alumnae / Young at Heart Karaoke in Kips Bay. Pick your favorite solo surprise or harmonize with a group to some classic '90s tunes.

Finally, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of former NYC Smith College Club President Caroline Berry Laporte on January 17, 2015. A member of the Class of 1947, Caroline was very active in many charitable endeavors, including her Smith Class and the NYC Smith College Club, where she served as president for three years.
