Dr. Sarah K. Khan '87, Documentary Screening and Discussion

Intersection of culture, food, gender, climate and power as part of Dr. Khan's Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship in India.

Bowing to No One, a short documentary film, relays the story of Satyavati, an Indigenous woman farmer from Central India. This short, punctuated with local songs, animation and moving graphics, is created by Smith Alumna Sarah K Khan ’87. This film is the first in a series on women farmers.

Join us for a screening and discussion moderated by Sylvia Lewis ’74, CEO and Founder of Narrative Network. For the dialogue that will follow, Sarah will share her research on culture, food, gender, climate and power as part of her recent Senior Research Scholar Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship in India.
