Benefit--Support Smith Scholarships--an Evening of Art and Live Jazz!
Dear Smith Scholarship Fund Benefit Supporter:
The NYC Smith Club Scholarship Benefit will take place on Wednesday, April 29th, starting at 6:30, and we are hoping you will be able to join us. This year's event is very low key. Our goal was to keep the cost to patrons low and to keep event costs low so most of the money will go toward scholarships. As you can imagine, the College is facing spending constraints at the same time the need for financial aid is increasing.
This year's Benefit will be held at Gana Art Gallery where a very interesting and dynamic group show titled Korean Contemporary Photography: Layered Expressions will be exhibited, featuring a group of seven photographers. There will be a talk by a leading expert in the field, followed by Live Jazz performed by the Khalil Jackson Group, hors d'oeuvres, wine, and simple dessert. All proceeds of the benefit will go to the Smith College Scholarship Fund. Please join us at 6:30pm on Wednesday, April 29th at the Gana Art Gallery (568 West 25th St, near 11th Ave.).
